Human Oversight & High-Risk AI Systems
A one-hour add-on for the people who actually sit in front of a high-risk AI system: how to recognise one, what meaningful human oversight means in practice rather than on paper, how to intervene and escalate, and what has to be written down.
By the end you will be able to
- Recognise whether a system you use falls into one of the Annex III high-risk areas, and say whether your organisation is its provider, its deployer, or both
- Distinguish meaningful human oversight from oversight that exists only on paper
- Intervene correctly — pause, override or stop — and escalate through the right route within the right deadline
- Name the records an operator is expected to keep, and why the log is the thing an inspector reads first
